The Punica Granatum has been loved for centuries as an ornamental plant and especially popular for its fruits. The Pomegranate shrub eventually grows into a beautiful small tree with a round crown with somewhat tousled twigs and spines. The plant blooms almost all summer and produces beautiful orange-red flowers that then turn into the well-known pomegranate fruit. Best to use as a tub or patio plant, but it also does very well in open ground.

Care: Moist but well-drained soil, likes to be in full sun.
Hardiness: -4 to -7 degrees but from -3 some protection is recommended.
