It belongs to the Agavaceae family and is native to Central America and Mexico. Slow growing palm, lives almost without irrigation and the ideal is to have it in temperatures above 3 degrees. It endures the drought well and it is recommended to water it somewhat in summer. It can withstand sub-zero temperatures even on dry ground.
