The Citrus Aurantium, also known as bitter orange, is a plant in the rue that is very similar to the sweet orange but has a very different, rather sour and bitter taste. The bitter substances of this orange are used in many aperitifs because they stimulate the appetite. Belongs to one of the oldest cultivated crops in the world. Produces white blossom with fruit from June to September.
