Palmera is almost always found in a wide bush divided by several trunks with a variable height and separated from each other. At each end there is a stiff fan-shaped plume of leaves and the trunk is covered in a dark brown fiber. Rare is the plant that only has one trunk. The leaves are evergreen, palmate, almost round, grayish green on the upper side and covered with a whitish fluff on the underside.
